The picture of dead wood and jackdaw axis, Qing Dynasty, Zhuda painting, paper book, ink pen, 178.5 cm vertically and 91.5 cm horizontally
This picture shows the scene of four lonely jackdaws perching on the broken stone branches in the middle of winter. The feather of jackdaw is first haloed with light ink, and then covered with thick ink when it is wet. The soft and fine texture of the feather appears at the intersection of thick and light ink. The bird’s eye socket is an oval circle, close to the upper eye socket with heavy ink, and a look of “white eyes towards people” appears at the bottom of the pen. The bird’s aloof and unruly attitude can best reflect the author’s tenacious and unrestrained personality
This page is signed with the following words: “Written by the Badashan people.” The seal is “Yao Zhi” Zhu Wenyin, and “Can De Immortal” and “Badashan people” Bai Wenyin
Although this picture has no model year, it can be inferred that this picture is the representative work of Zhu Da after the age of 70, based on the characteristics of different writing methods of the signature “Eight Mountains People” in different periods.
