Woodcarving Longevity Fairyland with gemstone flowers bonsai, made in the Qing Dynasty, is 49 cm high, 9 cm high, 36.7 cm long and 18.2 cm wide. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The wooden carving base is painted with clay waves, and the crescent-shaped tenons are carved on the waves with natural wood roots. The tenon head and tail rings are connected with pine branches and flower branches to form a flower basket. The roots of the tenon are carved with longevity stars, fairy children, deer and cranes, covered with green silk wrapped pine shade as a cover, and yellow paper wrapped with pompons as pine cones, which are interspersed between pine branches. Peaches, plums, chrysanthemums, and ganoderma lucidum are made of jade, material, coral, tourmaline, and dyed teeth
The composition of this scene is full, the root carving is simple, and the gemstones are brilliant. Its shape is quite representative in the bonsai for celebrating the birthday of the Qing court.
