[Four screens of Ren Xiong flowers]

Four screens of flowers, Qing Dynasty, Ren Xiong painting, paper edition, color setting. Each picture is 140.7 cm in length and 32.7 cm in width
This is a group of bar screens, consisting of four pictures, namely, the picture of oleander chicken, the picture of peach and willow with two swallows, the picture of wisteria, and the picture of chrysanthemum stone. The content of the work is based on nature and its style is realistic
The painting of oleander chicken was painted in the third year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1853) when the painter was 30 years old, but it was his late work. This picture is not printed by the author. The oleander branches are beautiful and straight, the flowers are in full bloom, graceful and charming, and a pheasant rests leisurely on the rocks, with a quiet look. The color of the picture is elegant, and flowers and chickens complement each other. The outline of the mountains and rocks is mostly centered, with obvious turning points and natural and harmonious changes in ink color. The ink color on the stone surface is different, the chicken feathers are dyed with a large amount of dots, and the color of oleander peach leaves is bright and rich, which makes the picture very full of the overall sense of space and hierarchy
The axis of “The Painting of Peach Willows and Two Swallows” has no author’s print on this picture. The willows are green and swaying with the wind. Several peach trees are hidden in the trees. Two swallows are playing happily on the branches. The painter skillfully increases the dynamic feeling of the picture through the bending willow and the flying up and down of swallows, suggesting the spring breeze blowing the flowers and willows. The picture features realistic style, bright colors, soft color contrast, and peach blossoms looming in the willows, which become the most bright bright spot in the picture. It can be seen that the painter is skilled in color application
On the axis of “The Painting of Chrysanthemum”, this self-reading “The day before the Double Ninth Festival of Gui Chou, Xiong Weichang drew the picture without giving up” was stamped with “Weichang” Zhu Fangyin. This painting was painted on the day before the Double Ninth Festival. It shows several lake stones and yellow and purple chrysanthemums against the background of autumn. Chrysanthemum flowers and leaves are made with ink halo and ink brush; The lake stone is rubbed with a large amount of light ink, and the thick ink is smeared with moss, showing a hard texture. The ammonites are accompanied by each other. The picture is elegant and refined, and the stones and flowers complement each other, which fully expresses the sense of autumn, while the colored petals subtly adjust the silence of the picture. The yellow and green colors make people feel refreshed
There is no author’s stamp on the “wisteria picture” axis. A wisteria tree hangs beside the lake stone. The wisteria is colored with indigo, which is bright and beautiful, beautiful and elegant, while the lake stone is rendered with large pieces of ink, without outline. The vertical and horizontal ink color shows the moist appearance of the southern lake stone. The composition of this work is the best in the four screens. The Taihu Lake Lake Stone is the most beautiful lake stone in the world, and the the Taihu Lake Lake Stone is the best one for the leaky, transparent, thin and wrinkled ones. The lake stone in this picture should be leaky and transparent. The wisteria hidden behind it can be seen faintly, and its subtle beauty makes people think about it. This painting is the most exquisite of the four screens.
