[Yellow smoked leather clothes]
Yellow smoked leather clothes, clear, 96 cm long, 90 cm wide waist, 102 cm wide hem. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The dress is the lower garment, which is tied around the waist and hung down. It is part of the dress. Traveling clothes are one of the types of clothing worn by emperors in the Qing Dynasty, including a jacket, a robe and a dress. They are mainly worn when traveling, such as patrolling and hunting. Among them, the jacket and robe are jackets, the length of the jacket is the same as that of the seat, the length of the sleeve is the elbow, the length of the robe is above the knee, and the jacket is worn outside the robe
This dress is made of yellow animal skin, and is made of white pigment silk. It is divided into left and right sides with the train in the middle. The upper part of the two pieces is sewn with a stone blue banner cloth. There are long bands at both ends of the banner cloth to tie around the waist. A horizontal blue ribbon is placed in the middle of the dress lining. At the end of each ribbon near the train, there is a copper gold-plated plain buckle, and four buckle loops are sewn at the end. This design can adjust the tightness of the dress around the leg, which is very ingenious. In the Qing Dynasty, the clothes of emperors, princes and civilian and military officials were of the same shape, which could be represented by materials such as format, felt and leather according to different seasons. This garment is made of leather and is worn by the emperor in winter
The clothes are tied with yellow stripes. The ink book says: “A piece of yellow smoked Pidushi”. According to the provisions of the “Great Qing Congress Code”, “the emperor’s clothing is made of deerskin or black fox in winter”. This leather clothing is used by the emperor, so the “yellow smoked skin” should be deerskin. “Dushi” is a transliteration of “Xingshang” in Manchu.
