Rosewood throne inlaid with tapestry

[Red sandalwood tapestry throne]

In the middle of the Qing Dynasty, it was 70 cm high, 121.5 cm long and 89.5 cm wide
The throne is made of red sandalwood, and the legs and feet are replaced by Xumizuo. The backrest and armrest are made of seven screens. The screen is inlaid with colorful tapestry, sea water, river cliffs and dragon patterns. The middle fan is a dragon holding longevity, and the rest is a dragon pattern. There is a treasure vase at the four corners of Xumizuo, and a carved dragon pattern flower board is installed on the four sides. According to the archives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on May 12, the fourth year of Yongzheng’s reign (1726), the eunuch Wang An issued a decree to make a low throne for the ship. The shape and decoration of this throne are consistent with the records in the archives, and should be made by the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
