According to the author’s title, this picture was painted by the author at the request of “Xiongyou” (Wang Wei) for “Dan Xianjushi” (Lv Yingfang). In the layout of the picture, the composition of “one river and two banks style” by Fani Zan is adopted. The middle view depicts a water area without ink halo. The two sides of the water area are respectively painted with undulating mountains, empty pavilions and autumn trees. The whole picture expresses the author’s aloof and lofty feelings in the simple and open style, which can be regarded as the representative work of the author’s artistic maturity.
