Monkeys are very popular among Chinese adults, especially children. There have been a lot of toys about monkeys in China since ancient times. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the emperors were all young and childlike. They bought or made many monkey toys in the palace, such as clay monkeys, plastic monkeys and wooden monkeys.
