[Fan page of Zhang Geng’s imitation of Dong Yuan’s landscape painting]

Fan page of the imitation of Dong Yuan’s landscape painting, Qing Dynasty, Zhang Geng’s painting, paper, ink, 16 cm in length and 46.5 cm in width
The fan page has its own title: “Imitate Dong Beiyuan’s method to imitate Cheng’s elder brother’s play. Mi Jia Jushi Geng.” The lower seal is Zhu Wenyin
This picture is a painting given by the author to his friend Chengzhi. Although the fan is not big, the author has expanded the far and near space through the ingenious intersperse of mountains, trees, houses, ponds and other scenery, as well as the contrast between virtual and real, crisscross and other techniques, so that the fan has a broad momentum of “close to a thousand miles”. The rocks are wiped with wet brush, and the trees are mostly touched with lying brush, which is flexible and beautiful. The author said that he imitated the landscape of Dong Beiyuan, but his style of painting was more close to the ancient, elegant and clean style of Huang Gongwang of the Yuan Dynasty
