The fan page has its own title: “Fa Ma Qin Shan’s brushwork is as beautiful as the moon. Yuan Jiang.” Seal “Yuan Jiang” and “Wen Tao” Zhu Wenyin. “Jimao” was in the 38th year of Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1699). Yuan Jiang was about 29 years old
The picture depicts the scenery in the south of the Yangtze River. On one side is the vast river and on the other side is the magnificent mountains. The neat rocks echo with the dynamic boat, forming a sharp contrast between dynamic and static, complex and simple. This picture should belong to Yuan Jiang’s early works. The stone surface is slightly cracked with a small axe, which has the style of Song painting. In this work, the author has not yet used the mature chopping method similar to “cirrus cloud” and “ghost face”, or the point chopping method similar to “bullet vortex”
