This axis records a paragraph, and the last paragraph is “On the day of Geng, the night of summer, Wang Duo.”. No identification seal. From the inscription, we can see that this axis was written in the 13th year of Chongzhen (1640) of the Ming Dynasty, and Wang Duo was 48 years old. The title of this axis is very close to the edge, and the form of the title seems to be unreasonable, so it is speculated that the previous paragraph may have been cut. Wang Duo wrote this scroll at the end of the Ming Dynasty. The recipient of the scroll may have something to do with the Ming court, and in the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the people who could not be ruled by the Qing government. Therefore, it is difficult for collectors to test his name now after removing the previous scroll
This axis is rich in ink, free and easy in writing, but its pen power is slightly weak, and the font is also relatively regular. It should be a work of Wang Duo in the early period of his calligraphy style.
