Baizi mirror of Marquis of Xue Jin, clear, with a face diameter of 42cm
The mirror is round, flat button, and the button is cast with the style of “Made by Xue Jinhou in Huzhou”. The inner area is decorated with a variety of children’s plays. There are 46 characters, including 2 elderly people, one with bare chest and belly, and the other with a flower basket. There are 44 children in total, who either grasp the week, ride a bamboo horse, or hold a slingshot. There are those who hold a pen and a paper while reading, and there are also those who look at it with innocent eyes. It is vivid and natural, just like a picture of social customs. The overall pattern is made of raised single thread, and the edge is made of double string pattern
This mirror is huge in shape and exquisite in casting. It is the most exquisite side of the “Xue Jinhou” bronze mirror seen at present.
