Yueqin, evolved from the ancient Ruan, has a short neck and is named for its resonant box shape like the full moon. The piano panel and back board are made of paulownia wood, the speaker frame and the piano neck are made of rosewood. There are four strings on the surface of the piano, two strings and a group of homophones. The strings are set according to the five-degree relationship between the two groups, and nine grades are set. The lute is played with a paddle. When playing, the left hand holds the lute and presses the string, and the right hand holds the paddle to play. There are playing, plucking, pinching, rolling, sweeping, pressing, shaking, sliding, chanting and other techniques. In the Beijing Opera band, the Yueqin, together with the Beijing Hu and the Beijing Erhu, is known as the three major pieces and is one of the main accompaniment instruments
