Enamel Eight Treasures Collection Box with Lotus Holder, in the middle of the Qing Dynasty, with a diameter of 34.5 cm and a height of 11.5 cm
The box is flat and round, with a straight wall and a slightly raised cover, with a sapphire blue glaze as the ground, and the center is decorated with five bat holding longevity patterns; The outer ring is decorated with the eight treasures of twining branches and lotus. The wall of the vessel is decorated with eight treasure patterns with broken branches and flowers as intervals. There is a copper gilded drawer in the box, which contains eight fan-shaped storage trays and a circular storage tray. The panels are painted with sky blue glaze, and each panel is surrounded by red bats, with the word “longevity” written in the center
Compared with the painted enamel made by the manufacturing office, the decoration of this box is lively and smooth, and the sky blue glaze is relatively deep. The five bats on the cover adopt two kinds of composition: looking down and looking sideways. The three bats on the top also have certain changes, obviously adopting western techniques. These show the unique features of Guangdong enamel in the middle of the Qing Dynasty
