Made by the Qing Palace Building Office. The belly of the tank is decorated with flower and butterfly patterns, and the upper and lower edges are respectively cloud head patterns and sea water patterns. The dial is on the front of the abdomen, surrounded by red and green stones. There are upper chord holes on the left and right sides of the dial, the left one is responsible for the timing system, and the right one is responsible for playing music and moving mechanical devices. The surface of the tank shows the tranquil water surface with a glass mirror, forming a lotus pond landscape. In the center, there are ducks surrounded by a circle. The lotus is graceful and scattered in the pond, and several lotus flowers are arranged in perfect order. Among them, three lotus flowers can open and close, and the heart of the flower is seated with the Queen Mother of the West, the Peach Boy and the Peach Fairy Ape respectively. After starting, with the accompaniment of the music, the petals open to reveal the Queen Mother of the West, the boy and the fairy ape in the heart of the flower. The Queen Mother of the West sat still, and the boy and the white ape knelt down and presented a peach
In addition to timing, the clocks and watches in the Qing Palace are more used for display or appreciation. Therefore, they are often attached with movable mechanical devices, and this one is no exception
