The Huangting Classic is a book of Taoist health preservation during the Wei and Jin dynasties, which is divided into the Interior Classic and the Exterior Classic. Guo Shangxian was 41 years old when he wrote this “Huangting Neijing Jing” in 1824, the fourth year of Daoguang’s reign in the Qing Dynasty. This calligraphy is based on Yan Zhenqing and combines the charm of “pavilion style”. The structure is broad and elegant, and the strokes are powerful and solid. It is the elaborate work of Guo Shangxian in his later period.
