Blue and white dragon bowl, Ming Zhengde, height 10.3 cm, caliber 23 cm, foot diameter 9.3 cm
The bowl is skimmed, with a deep arc belly and a slightly higher circle foot. The interior and exterior blue and white decoration, the inner and outer walls are painted with flower dragon patterns, and the outer walls are painted with Ruyi cloud head patterns. The blue and white double circles on the outsole are stamped with four characters and two lines of money in eight Siba characters. The translation is “Zhengde Year System”
This bowl is dignified in shape, with a bright glaze, a white glaze with a blue tint, and a blue and white glaze with a gray tint
The Palace Museum also has a blue and white bowl of Zhengde official kiln with the same shape and decoration as this bowl. The blue and white regular script “Zhengde Year System” is printed on the outside and the blue and white double-line circle is printed on the outside.
