Oval disc, lotus leaf type, circle foot. The double dragon carved in the center of the dish is surging in the sea waves. One dragon carries ganoderma lucidum in its mouth, which means “the immortal wishes birthday”. The inner wall of the plate is carved with Ruyi cloud pattern on the brocade ground, and the outer wall is carved with eight lotus treasures. The sole of the foot is painted with black paint, and the left knife is engraved with the regular script of “Da Ming Xuan De Nian System” in gold
Compared with Yongle carved paint, this plate is red and purple, the paint layer is thinner, and the carving does not seek to hide the front, which reflects the characteristics of Xuande lacquermen who strive to change while inheriting Yongle Dynasty.
