Xuande style filigree enamel flower pattern holder, made by Xuande in the Ming Dynasty, is 1.3 cm high, 19.2 cm in diameter and 15 cm in foot diameter. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The cup holder is disc type, with a folded edge and a convex cup groove at the center of the disc. The foot center is engraved with six characters of regular script “Da Ming Xuan De Nian System”. The light blue enamel glaze is used as the ground for the lamp holder, and a lotus flower is blooming in the interior of the lamp slot, surrounded by green leaves. The groove is decorated with five groups of lotus and chrysanthemum. The folding edge is decorated with eight dragon patterns in red, yellow, blue and white, separated by chrysanthemum patterns
This lamp holder was made by the imperial supervisor in the palace during the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty. The design layout is standardized and symmetrical. The enamel glaze is pure in color, with warm and glossy surface and thick body. It is the best work of filigree enamel in Xuande period
