This plum vase maintains the slender and straight features of the plum vase in the Song Dynasty, appropriately compressing the height of the bottle body, relaxing the shoulders and feet, and making the proportion of each part more harmonious. The sweet white glaze applied on the bottle body is pure and clean, with soft color and exquisite decoration. It is a rare treasure in the sweet white glaze porcelain of Yongle period. The sweet white glazed ware in the Yongle period is the main porcelain used in the palace. According to the excavation report of the Ming Dynasty imperial kiln site in Jingdezhen in 1989, more than 98% of the unearthed objects in the early Yongle period are sweet white glazed porcelain.
