Blue and white lotus bowl, Ming Yongle, 13.7 cm high, 35.5 cm caliber, 20 cm foot diameter. The old collection of the Qing Palace
The bowl has straight mouth, arc wall and round foot. Full body blue and white decoration. The center of the bowl is painted with pomegranates with large fruits. The inner wall is decorated with flower and fruit patterns, and the inner edge is decorated with flower and fruit patterns. The outer edge is decorated with honeysuckle pattern, the outer wall is decorated with lotus pattern, and the foot wall is decorated with three blue and white lines
This bowl is quite large in shape, with vivid descriptions of flowers and fruits. The pomegranate means “many children and many blessings”.
