Red pomegranate flower disc, 4.5 cm high, 32.3 cm diameter
The disc is round, diffuse and shallow, and encircles the foot. The whole body is carved with red paint patterns, and yellow paint is exposed between the patterns. The plate is full of pomegranate flowers, with luxuriant branches and leaves, and flowers scattered all over the place, either in full bloom or in bud. A variety of flowers are carved on the back of the plate for a week. The black light paint on the bottom of the foot is the rear paint, and the six characters of the needle book “made in Yongle of the Ming Dynasty” can be seen under the paint on one side
This plate is simple and elegant in shape, with thick paint, fine and mellow in quality, fine and mellow in carving, full in texture, natural and vivid in branches, leaves and petals. It is a fine product of official lacquer carving in Yongle Dynasty.
