The belt plates with similar patterns were unearthed in the Ming Dynasty eunuch’s tomb at the site of Weigongcun College for Nationalities in Haidian District, Beijing, only 2 pieces were missing, a total of 18 pieces. This set of jade belt plates was once treasured by Emperor Qianlong for its excellent jade quality and carving. It was not only matched with red sandalwood boxes, but also engraved with poems and inscriptions
