[Lanting Preface Seal]
Lanting Preface Seal, which is 4.1 cm in length, 3.4 cm in width and 6.2 cm in height
The Lanting Preface is made of Qingtian stone. The content of the seal is based on the Lanting Preface by Wang Xizhi of Jin Dynasty. The seal set is made sentence by sentence. The printed text is in the form of seal script, or in the form of vermilion, or in the form of white text. The layout of the text is sparse and less changeable. The seal cutting pursues neatness and is an elegant instrument between the cases. “Yonghe, who was nine years old, would repair the contract at the Lanting in the shadow of the Kuaiji Mountains at the beginning of the Guichou twilight spring” as the first side note, and “the end of the group of sages” as the first printed face, and then the sentence by sentence. The “three bridges” of each border style are named after Wen Peng, a famous seal carver of the Ming Dynasty. The seal made of 105 words below “Kuang Xiu Sui Hua” is missing
