Blue Jade Luduan Fume, Ming Dynasty, 17.5cm high, 5.6cm caliber
The texture of sapphire is light green, with dark brown spots and grain in some parts. The smoker is in Luduan shape and is carved in round shape. The first part of Luduan is the fuming furnace cover. Luduan has a single horn, head raised, mouth open and teeth exposed, nostrils facing the sky, four feet upright, wings on all feet, and body decorated with dragon scales. It is hollow and can store spices. The fragrance can be sent out through the mouth and nose of animals
Luduan is an important furnishings of the Ming and Qing dynasties. There are always Luduan and incense tubes on both sides of the emperor’s throne, which are generally opposite to each other, and the shape of the vessels is relatively large.
