Qianlong Imperial Inkstone at Shilong Pool, Ming Dynasty, 17.3 cm long, 12.3 cm wide and 4.2 cm high. The old collection of the Qing Palace
It is made of inkstone, black and purple. The inkstone is oval, embossed with sea water dragon pattern inkstone pool, with a stone eye on the upper left. The back of the inkstone is covered with hands about inches deep, with long and short columns, and also with stone eyes. Zhou Bianlu’s imperial inscription of Emperor Qianlong:

This inkstone has a thick shape, bold carving method, and has the style of making inkstone in the Ming Dynasty. It was originally the standard of Liang and Qing Dynasties, and later it was collected by the court of the Qing Dynasty and included in Volume 20 of the Western Qing Inkstone Manual
