This tapestry work is based on Zhao Changzhi’s painting, and uses the techniques such as Qi Ke, Long and Short Bi, Wood Comb Bi, Fengwei Bi, Zi Mu Jing and Ta Ke to weave four groups of flowers and birds from life, including peony flying butterfly, lotus, lotus kingfisher and sparrow. The color is beautiful and elegant, clear, strong and elegant, and the color matching method of three halos is mostly used, such as dark green for the front of the lotus leaf, grass green for the vein, and yellow green for the back. The chromaticity decreases layer by layer from deep to light, and the transition is natural, showing the lotus leaf’s curling, soft and elegant posture, and the texture of yin and yang facing back, bright and dark. Flying butterflies and birds capture their detailed features and nimble expressions to accurately depict them, giving people a vivid and lifelike feeling. At the beginning of the book, there are “Qianlong Imperial Treasure”, “Shiqu Treasure Collection”, “Imperial Library Seal”, “Sanxi Hall Seal”, “Suitable for descendants”, “Jiaqing Imperial Treasure”, and “Xuantong Imperial Treasure”.
