Ming Tuobao Yazhai Orchid Pavilion’s City Repair Edition is carved, inlaid and mounted with butterflies, and painted in thick ink. The ink paper is divided into four parts, each half of which is 23.4 cm vertically and 9.5 cm horizontally
The inscription at the beginning of the post reads: “Xibao is more than a ruler, and the divinities are immortalized, the sun and the moon are obsidian, and the steeds are obtained”. There is no “meeting” at the end of the first line of the post. Seal “Rong Geng’s Seal”. After that, there was a postscript with the signature of Ming Ma Zhi: “It is believed that the postscript of Ye Zhongshan, which was collected by the Zongnei government, had been set as the book of repairing the city. There were two lines of Xue Shibalang’s book in front of it. It should be read by those who carved the same stone.” Later, a close friend Chen Yuan postscript said: “The engraving of the Lanting Collection, the book of repairing the city, and the title of Xibai belongs to Chen Yuan.” Another Zhang Binglin postscript: “There are eighty-six kinds of postscripts in the book of Xu’s treasure Yazhai in Changsha.”
Song Shichang’s “Examination of the Lanting” Volume 11, Cloud: “This is the book from which the city was built. There was a book written by Xue Ji in front of it… Later, Emperor Gaozong took the stone and entered the Deshou Palace”. Tao Zongyi of the Yuan Dynasty listed the “Xiucheng Book” as the “First Book of the First Collection” in the “Record of Dropping out of Farming in the South Village”
