Yaozhou kiln Wuniu panting moon bowl, gold, 7.6 cm high, 21.3 cm caliber, 6 cm foot diameter
The lip of the bowl, the curved abdominal wall, and the foot circle. Light blue glaze is applied inside and outside. The inner part of the bowl is decorated with a diamond-shaped opening light. The outside of the opening light is carved with curly flowers and grass patterns. The inside of the opening light is carved with the traditional pattern “Wu Niu pant the moon”. A bright moon hangs high in the sky, with a buffalo’s mouth slightly open, the front legs upright, the back legs bent on their knees, and looking up at the bright moon
This bowl carving knife is skillful and has vivid and natural patterns. It is a representative work of the blue-glaze carving utensils of the Jin Dynasty in Yaozhou kiln
