Shen Zibo Kesi Magpie Map Axis, Southern Song Dynasty, Shen Zibo, 104 cm long and 36 cm wide. The old collection of the Qing Palace

This picture axis is made of silk and taped according to the drawing. With fifteen or six colors of silk, the small shuttles are used as a substitute, and the color of the picture is harmonious. It uses the technique of “cutting the warp and weft” and skillfully uses a variety of tapestry techniques. The warp density of the silk thread used is 20 pieces/cm, and the weft density is 44-46 pieces/cm, with fine workmanship
This silk tapestry painting well reflects the simple and simple flavor of the original painting. The picture is vivid, beautiful and elegant. It is one of the few surviving works of Shen Zibo, and also an outstanding representative of the silk tapestry technology in the Southern Song Dynasty
At the bottom of the picture, there are “Zifan system”, “Shen’s” square seals, “Jiaolin Liang’s calligraphy and painting seal”, “Guoqin Wang Fu picture secretary”, Emperor Qianlong’s imperial pen “willing to smell”, and the seals are “Qianlong Chenhan”, “Qianlong imperial treasure”, “Sanxi Tang refined seal”, “Shiqu fixed seal”, “treasure collection recompilation”, “Shiqu treasure collection”, “Qianlong appreciation”, “Jiaqing imperial treasure”, “suitable for descendants” “Chonghua Palace Treasure Collection” and other marks show that this work occupies an important position in the imperial collection of the Qing Dynasty
