[Three-color carved heron lotus plate]
Three-color carved heron lotus plate, Liao, height 3.1 cm, caliber 12.2 cm, foot diameter 7.5 cm
The opening of the dish is in the shape of a nine-petal rhombus, with a flat core, shallow wall and round feet. There are carved heron lotus patterns under the three-color glaze inside the plate. The method is to draw the pattern lines on the tire with an iron cone, apply green glaze after plain burning, and then apply grape purple glaze on the lotus leaves, and yellow glaze on the egrets and lotus flowers
The dark lines on this plate are smooth and natural, and the low-temperature yellow, green and purple glazes with lead oxide as the flux are coordinated, especially the grape purple glazes used are very rare in the Liao tricolor ware, so this plate is an extremely important material for studying the Liao tricolor.
