Cockscomb pots were first seen in the Liao Dynasty. After the Qidan people entered the north and established the Liao State, they fired porcelain after imitating the traditional leather bag pot. The handle of the early porcelain pot is shaped like a cockscomb and has holes in the lanyard, so it is called a cockscomb pot. Later, perforation gradually evolved into a lifting beam. This shape retains the characteristics of nomadic daily necessities and reflects the creative spirit of Qidan craftsmen in porcelain making
