The flowerpot holder forms a six-petal diamond shape with concave and convex lines. Open, folded, curved abdominal wall, with three cloud-head-shaped feet. Rose-purple glaze is applied on the outside, sky-blue glaze is applied on the inside, brown glaze is applied on the outside, and the numeral “two” is engraved. The internal glaze of the basin holder has obvious “earthworm walking mud pattern”, which is the unique feature of Jun kiln. The three cloud-head-shaped feet are in harmony with the shape of the utensil, and the gorgeous rose-purple glaze is applied, which makes the utensil more exquisite
Jun kiln was first fired in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was originally built by the people. Because the glaze of the fired porcelain was blue with red, like a gorgeous sunset, it was extremely beautiful, and was favored by the court in the late Northern Song Dynasty. Because the demand for pots, dowries and indoor furnishings used by the court to plant flowers and trees increased greatly at that time, the court then collected excellent craftsmen from the folk kiln industry to build an official kiln near Bagua Cave in Yu County, Henan Province, specially to burn porcelain for the court furnishings. This utensil is rich in glaze and gorgeous in color. It is a treasure of Guan Junzhong. The numeral “two” indicating the size of the utensil is engraved on the bottom, indicating that it is the larger of the whole set of utensil.
