Wang Wuzi, a native of Heyang, was involved in Huzhou during the reign of Emperor Kaiyuan of the Tang Dynasty and did not return for ten years. His wife is filial. The family is poor and counts on weaving shoes day and night. Wang Wuzi’s mother was ill and could not be cured without cannibalism. So Wang Wuzi’s wife cut the stock into soup, so that her mother-in-law’s illness was cured
