[Tianzhen Weeping Brick]

Tianzhen Weeping Brick, Northern Song Dynasty, 19 cm high and 26 cm wide
The brick is rectangular, the inside of the brick is concave into a pot door, and the word “Tian Zhen” is carved on it. There are three people in the picture, the one on the left is standing under the tree, with both hands caged. The person on the right bowed his head and arched his hands, with a guilty face. The middle man pointed at the tree, facing the left, as if admonishing. Tian Zhen’s crying over Jing is one of the twenty-four filial piety stories. The three brothers, Tian Zhen, should be separated and independent. When I went out, I saw three Jings growing in the same tree, and connected with the leaves of Lianyin. The three brothers gave up the idea of separation and made peace as before
