Cao E threw river bricks

[CaoE River Brick]

CaoE River Brick, North Song Dynasty, 19 cm high, 26 cm wide and 3 cm thick
The brick is rectangular, the brick surface is concave and chiseled into a pot door shape, and the word “Cao E” is carved on it. In the picture, Cao E covered her face with long sleeves and walked along the river with a stick in her hand
Cao E’s investment in the river is one of the stories of the twenty-four filial piety. Cao E’s father was a wizard. Unfortunately, he drowned in the river to meet the whirling god. No body was found. At the age of 14, Cao E cried along the river day and night, and finally threw herself into the river and died. After the death of Cao E, the county length still pitied its meaning and changed its burial. He ordered Handan Zili to make a tablet for it and engrave a eulogy. This is the famous Cao E tablet in the history of the tablet
There is another story about Cao E’s Stele. It is said that Cao Cao and Yang had repaired the tablet of Cao E, and it was strange to see that the inscription on the back of the tablet was “yellow silk young woman, grandson Jijiu”. In fact, the so-called yellow silk is also colored silk, which is “absolutely” in the word; Young women, young girls also, in the word “wonderful”; The grandchild, a woman, has the word “good”; Jijiu, suffering from pain, is the word “Ci”. Here is a metaphor for the four words “wonderful words”. Yang Xiu suddenly realized that Cao Cao was riding on the horse, thinking hard for 30 miles to understand his meaning. He could not help sighing and saying, “I’m not as good as Qing, but I feel 30 miles.”
