[Song Tuo Tang Daoyin Monument]
The Daoyin Monument, written by Tang Li Yan, Ouyang Tongshu, Fan Sujian, Tang Carving, Song Tuo, black ink felt wax refined extension, cut and bound, 41 pages in total, 30.5 cm vertically and 18 cm horizontally
There is an inscription by Zhang Lian, two paragraphs of Weng Fanggang Postscript, and 11 seals of “Weng Fanggang Seal” and “Li Guosong”. The word “pan” at the bottom left of the word “juan” does not damage the original. Weng Fanggang’s old collection
The Monument of Dharma Master Daoyin is the full name of the inscription of Dharma Master Daoyin in Duobao Temple, Yizhou, Dade, which is translated from the Tang Dynasty. This tablet was erected in October of the third year of Longshuo’s reign in the Tang Dynasty (663). It has 34 lines, 73 lines and 7 horizontal lines. The three Buddha carved on the banner are very exquisite. The inscription mainly records the life and activities of Daoyin Monk. The original tablet is now stored in the Forest of Steles of Shaanxi Provincial Museum
This tablet is a masterpiece of Ouyang Tong, with its rigorous style, strong strokes and extraordinary style. Yang Shoujing of the Qing Dynasty commented on the monument and said, “The forest is like a spear and halberd in the arsenal.” It is the upright spirit expressed between the lines, which can be described as a book like a person
