Jingdezhen Kiln is located in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. It was founded in the Five Dynasties, mainly firing white porcelain and celadon. In the Song Dynasty, the porcelain making technology of the kiln became more mature, and its scale and product quality had been greatly developed and improved. In the Yuan and Ming dynasties, innovative products continued to emerge and became the national porcelain making center. The celadon and white porcelain is named because its glaze color is between cyan and white. It is the original glaze color variety of Jingdezhen Hutian kiln in the early and middle period of the Northern Song Dynasty. Because the glaze of the blue-white glaze contains a small amount of iron, the glaze color is blue in white, and the glaze layer is thin and crystal, with the artistic effect of being as warm as jade, it has become a wonderful flower in the southern blue-white porcelain. The blue-and-white glazed bowl unearthed from the tomb of the third year (1000 years) of Xianping in the Northern Song Dynasty in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, is the earliest known blue-and-white porcelain. Because its texture is like blue-and-white jade, its body is fine and clean, its glaze is blue and translucent, and the light can see the shadow, it is also called “shadow green” after the late Qing Dynasty. Li Qingzhao, a poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, has the phrase “jade pillow gauze kitchen” in his “Drunken Flower Shade”. “jade pillow” refers to a blue-white porcelain pillow with the color and quality of sapphire.
