Stele of Song Tuo Tang Li Xuanjing

[Stele of Li Xuanjing in the Song Dynasty]

The stele of Li Xuanjing is cut and mounted in ink. There are 13 openings in total, with each half opening 26 cm vertically and 17.5 cm horizontally
This monument was built on August 14, 772, the seventh year of the Tang Dynasty. It is located in Yuchen Temple, Maoshan, Jurong County, Jiangsu Province. The third year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1529) was destroyed by fire, and the rubbings handed down are very rare. The whole paper is not found, and the number of lines can not be tested
The original title of the stele is “The stele of Mr. Xuanjing at Ziyang Temple in Tangshan is in the same order”, which is known as “Li Xuanjing Stele” and “Mao Shan Xuanjing Stele”. Five years after the stele was built, another piece of “The inscription of Emperor Li of Guangling, Mr. Xuanjing of Tang Maoshan”, written by Yan Zhenqing, was set up. The content can be seen in Volume 100 of Wang Chang’s “Collection of Gold and Stone”, which can be mutually verified with this stele
The inscription on the tablet reads “Written by the secretary Lang Hedong Liu Zhi, written by Zhang Congshen of Dali Zhiwu County, and sealed by Li Yangbing”. All three people are handsome. The inscription lost its extension, but the five characters of “Li Yangbing’s Seal Amount” are small seal characters, which should be written by Yang Bing
The running script of the text is generally the two kings of patriarchal clan, and is also influenced by Li Yong, a famous tablet writer of the same generation. Li Shu’s strokes are straight and straight, and the center of gravity of the characters moves downward. Compared with the pure king’s body, it can better meet the visual needs of the large calligraphy and stone. The style of this tablet is flexible and dignified, vigorous and graceful, and it is worthy of the Tang Stone. The first half of the inscription should be written in a regular manner, and the second half should be written more and more freely. The strokes are thick, the characters are flying, and the look is more obvious. Zhang Congshen, the author of the book, was promoted to be the first of the “four dragons of Zhang’s family” at that time. After the Great Calendar, he “walked alone between the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River” (see Zhu Changwen’s “Continuation of Books”)
The beginning and end of this book are complete, without much noise, and the words are clear and plump. Baoxi believed that “there was no doubt about the rubbings before the Yuan Dynasty”, and Zhang Yansheng’s “Records of Good Texts on Steles” and Wang Zhuanghong’s “Additional Essays on the Corrections on Steles” were both regarded as the Song Tuo, which has always been famous. In the front of the book, there are Wang Duo and Bao Xi’s autographs. At the back of the book are two of Shen Zengzhi’s seven unique poems, Bao Xi’s postscript, Chen Baochen, Zhu Yifan, Zhang Wei, Zhao Shijun’s four people watching the song together, and Zhu Yi’s another postscript. Seal “Baoxi Longevity”, “Shen Zhimo Yuan” and other seals. When the old treasure of Baoxi was transferred to Zhu
