Jun kiln rose purple glaze rectangular flowerpot, Song Dynasty, 15 cm high, 20 cm horizontal, 16.5 cm vertical, 13.4 cm horizontal and 10 cm vertical
Flower pot cuboid. Wide mouth with corners, folded edges, oblique straight walls, flat bottom, four cloud heads and feet. The glaze on the inner wall is moon-white, and the outer wall is blue and rose purple. “Earthworms walk in mud” can be seen on the glaze surface, and the outer bottom is coated with paste glaze. There are five seepage holes at the bottom and the numeral “ten” is engraved, indicating that this flowerpot is the smallest in the same set of flowerpots
The flowerpot is an important variety of Jun kiln porcelain. It was designed and fired to meet the needs of the imperial palace according to the court sample.
