The Monument of Li Sixun, General Yunhui, is the full name of the Monument of Li Mansion of Zhao Gong, which was given by the General Youwuwei, General Yunhui of the Tang Dynasty, to Peng Guo, the governor of Qinzhou. This monument was erected in June of the eighth year of the Kaiyuan era of the Tang Dynasty (720), at Qiaoling, Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province. The running script has 33 lines and 70 words. Frontal seal script has 4 lines and 12 characters. It is one of the shrines in the “Bridge Tomb” of Ruizong (Li Dan). The inscription records Li Sixun’s life story
This tablet was written by Li Yong when he was 44 years old. With a clear and vigorous pen, it is still the style of the Tang Dynasty, and is praised by calligraphers of all ages. Wang Shizhen of the Ming Dynasty commented that “Li Beihai (the book) is elegant and unrestrained. It is not respected at first sight, but loved for a long time. If Jiang Ziwen is good at painting, he is a god.”
