The full name of the stele is “Stele of Wei Yuanpi in Liangzhou”, engraved in the fourth year of Guanghe in the Eastern Han Dynasty (181). The original stone was lost early, and the rubbings are very rare
The stone tablet is heavily covered, and the seal inscription “The Stele of Wei Jun, the ancient governor of Liangzhou in the Han Dynasty” is still clear. According to Song Hongshi’s “Li Xu · Stele Style”, its inscription “16 lines, the stone has been stripped, the remaining 31 lines, the title four lines, four lines”. Today’s Yuan Weichun’s “Qin and Han Dynasty Steles” said that there were 28 lines, 4 columns of titles and 4 lines. After that, there was a postscript written by Weng Fanggang of the Qing Dynasty: “The tablet is simple and vigorous, slightly like the Tablet of Zhang Qian, and with its elegant style, it is also characterized by its uneven appearance. The Han Li people can also taste it.” The title of the tablet is on the tablet, which is one of its characteristics
It is the original stone of Song Tuo, which is known as the only book in the world. Cut and mounted, 18 pages in total, 4 lines per page, 8 words per line. The size of each page is 33.3 cm vertically and 18 cm horizontally. It was collected by the Zhao family in Tai’an and later by Huang Yi. It is one of the five kinds of Han steles collected by the Huang family. There are Weng Fanggang, Bi Yuan, Zheng Jitang, Huang Yi and other postscript 11 paragraphs, and Ruan Yuan, Sun Xingyan, Yang Shoujing and other viewing funds, and 54 seals such as “Huang Xiaosong Collection Seal”, “Qian Yong Zeng Guan”, and “Weng Fanggang”
