Yellow glazed painted female figurines of Konghou music with colored bullets, 15.5cm high
The female ceramic figurines of Jile are made of clay and white tile. They are painted with yellow glaze. The maid’s facial features are correct, the eyebrows and eyes are painted in ink, the cheekbones are high, the lips are vermilion, and her appearance is natural. She wears an ink-colored high bun on her head, a red cloth on her shoulders, and hangs down to the ground smoothly. She is wearing a long dress with narrow sleeves and high waist, and the skirt is swaying to the ground. The female figurines of martial arts and music knelt and sat, holding the harp in both hands, and made a performance. The harp has a complete shape and is the tangible material for studying ancient musical instruments. This musical instrument was introduced from the Western Regions to the Central Plains. A complete wooden harp was unearthed from the ancient tomb group of Astana in Turpan, Xinjiang. This pottery figurine truly represents the cultural exchange between China and the West in the early Tang Dynasty.
