Yue kiln blue-glazed hollowed-out pot (k ǔ n) Gate inkstone, Tang Dynasty, 3.9 cm high, 16.6 cm caliber, 13.4 cm foot diameter
The inkstone surface is round and slightly inward concave, with a groove separated from the edge of the mouth. The body is straight, with a circle of concave grooves on the upper wall, and seven crescent-shaped lace on the lower wall. The lower part of the inkstone has a round foot, and the foot is hollow. The fetus is bluish gray, dense and thick. The whole body is painted with green glaze, which is thin and uniform. This inkstone is simple and elegant in design, practical and beautiful
Inkstone is a tool for grinding ink, which is called “four treasures of study” together with pen, ink and paper.
