Chang’e Jade Rabbit Diamond Flower Mirror

[Chang’e Jade Rabbit Diamond Flower Mirror]

Chang’e Jade Rabbit Diamond Flower Mirror, Tang Dynasty, 19.1 cm in diameter
The mirror is in the shape of an eight-leaf rhombus, with a button for the beast. On the back of the bronze mirror is a picture of the moon palace. On the top right of the button is a osmanthus tree with luxuriant branches and leaves; Chang’e is elegant, with a tray in one hand and a frame in the other, with the word “lucky” on it. There is a pool of water under the mirror button. The jade rabbit on the left is pounding medicine with a pestle, and a leaping toad is on the right side of the pool. The edge of the mirror is decorated with butterflies, flowers and cloud patterns. The whole decoration highlights the theme of the Moon Palace, and the composition is very novel
This is a donation for the mummy
