The bottle has a straight mouth, a long neck, an octagonal abdomen, and a full circle. Grayish white fetus with dense texture. The glaze is light turquoise green. According to Lu Guimeng, a poet from the Tang Dynasty, “The nine autumn wind reveals the opening of the Yue kiln and captures the green color of the thousand peaks”, which shows the glaze color characteristics of the Yue kiln celadon
In 1988, archaeologists unearthed 14 similar Yue kiln celadon wares in the underground palace of Famen Temple in Fufeng, Shaanxi Province, one of which was similar to this one, indicating that the production of these Yue kiln wares was meticulous from material selection, washing, to finishing, glazing, firing and other processes, which should be the top grade of the Yue kiln at that time, and may be the best wares for the court.
