Tomb Table of Qu Qianyou, Gaochang, North and South Dynasties, 36.5 cm high and 37 cm wide
The epitaph of the 17th year of Jianchang in Gaochang (577). Ceramic lettering, 5 lines of 40 characters, in official script. The tomb owner, Qu Qianyou, was an official of the Gaochang regime. Gaochang Jianchang is the year of Qu Baomao. The seventeenth year of Jianchang is equivalent to the ninth year of Chen Taijian in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, the sixth year of Jiande in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, and the first year of Chengguang, the infant master of the Northern Qi Dynasty. Jiaohe County is the administrative area of Gaochang State. The old city of Jiaohe still exists today. It is located in the west of Yaerhu Village, about 5 kilometers northwest of today’s Turpan, Xinjiang
Recorded text: In the 17th year of Yanchang, on the 23rd day of Jiaxu New Year in the first month of the year of Dingyou, the tomb watch of Cao Yijun, an official in the west government of the town of Jiaohe County, was presented by a friend of the government.
