In the seal, “long” refers to the county magistrate. “The Book of the Han Dynasty” records that “the county magistrate and governor are all officials of the Qin Dynasty, who are in charge of the county,… reduce the number of thousands of households to a long, ranking from 500 to 300 stones”. This is the official seal of the county in the Eastern Han Dynasty
