Painted Cloud and Dragon Pattern Disk, Western Han Dynasty, height 2.3 cm, caliber 28.4 cm, bottom diameter 14 cm
This plate was unearthed in the tomb of the Western Han Dynasty at No. 28, Gaotai, Jiangling, Jingzhou. It was carved out of a piece of wood. Open plate, flat folded edge, arc belly, flat bottom. The objects are painted with red paint as the bottom, and the center of the inner bottom is painted with connected cirrus patterns. This cirrus pattern should actually be a kind of deformed cloud dragon pattern, which makes the cloud dragon more abstract and patterned. The outer ring is painted with diamond pattern and B pattern to form a decorative belt. The inner and outer walls of the plate are decorated with a single cloud pattern and an 8-shaped pattern painted in ink, and the diamond pattern is painted along the surface.
