[Wadang of “Heavenly Surviving”]

Wadang of “Heavenly Surviving”, Western Han Dynasty, 17.9 cm in diameter
Western Han Dynasty tile, ceramic. The face of the tile is “to save the sky and bring down the spirit, to extend the Yuan Dynasty for ten thousand years, and to make the world healthy and peaceful”, with 12 characters protruding and seal script. In the Book of Han Dynasty, the Annals of Emperor Xuandi “(the fourth year of Yuankang), in March, the imperial edict said: ‘Yes, the fifth collection of the Lord of God collected tens of thousands of Changle, Weiyang, Beigong, Gaomu, Ganquantai Temple and Shanglin Garden. I was not able to catch them. I was less virtuous than I was, and I won many blessings. It was not my responsibility.'” And “I inherited the heaven and earth, adjusted the order four hours, and received Meng Jiarui, and gave them blessings. I was cautious all night, and I was proud. I was introspective and unscrupulous, and I was never at the extreme.”. This is actually a sign that the ruler attached auspicious signs to the gods with natural phenomena, and also took the meaning of warning, in order to ensure that the dynasty would be permanent
Recorded text: The spirit of heaven is coming down, and the world is in peace.
