Jade carving double phoenix decoration, the Warring States Period, 13.7 cm long, 6.2 cm high and 0.3 cm thick. Unearthed from Tomb 2, Liugong Township, Changfeng County, Anhui Province in 1977
The yellow jade is dark blue, with spots on the surface, and has a bright glass luster. The device is fan-shaped, thin, and the edge is concave and convex. The form of the two sides of the decoration is the same as that of the carving. The surface is decorated with grain patterns. The grain is rhombohedral and slightly convex. There are six cirrus patterns between the grain patterns, which are similar to the shape of the phoenix tail. The top of the phoenix is carved with a pair of opposite phoenixes, with a thin body and long tail, and a thick and curly tail. Opposite to the head of the phoenix, there are many holes in the part of the phoenix body, which can be tied with ropes
During the Warring States Period, the jade pendant was an important component of the jade set. The jade pendant used for jade pendant was generally made exquisite. In addition to the surface pattern, many jade ornaments were also specially decorated. The cloud pattern on the surface of this jade pendant and the double phoenix decoration pattern on the top are the only known jade ornaments of the Warring States Period.
